Business problem
A local hire business needed more than social links. Customers needed to see packages clearly and send a structured booking enquiry instead of relying on DMs.
What needed to happen
Named live business website for Roman Events MK. LED numbers, letters, and themed packages are the product; the site is the enquiry funnel.
What I built
Built a mobile-first Astro and Vue site with a package showcase and a multi-step booking form wired to a FastAPI backend. Privacy, terms, and cookie consent sit alongside the marketing pages.
How it works
The business has a public, bookable website instead of relying on informal channels, with a catalogue customers can scan and an enquiry the team can action.
Technical detail
- Astro 4, Vue 3, TypeScript, and Tailwind for the public site
- FastAPI and SQLAlchemy for booking and contact APIs
- Rate-limited public endpoints and admin review APIs
- Consent-gated analytics and cookie preferences
